Tsay Keh Dene Nation – The BC Wildfire Service will be supporting Tsay Keh Dene Nation in conducting traditional burning and pasture enhancement. The total burn is approximately 20 hectares.
Smoke may be visible from the FSR around Police Meadows (around 30-70km on the Finlay Davis FSR), Ingenika area and Tsay Keh Dene Community.
Key goal: Traditional burning, cross training, and pasture enhancement.
The burn may take place as early as May 2, 2026 depending on suitable conditions. This project has been carefully planned and will only go ahead at the right time and under the right conditions to ensure community and staff safety.
