Moberly Lake – The BC Wildfire Service will be cross-training with the Moberly Lake Fire Department while conducting a prescribed burn along the Highway 29 right of way.
Smoke may be visible from Saulteau First Nations, Moberly Lake, and to travelers along Highway 29.
Key goal: Wildfire risk reduction and cross-training with Moberly Lake Fire Department.
The burn may take place as early as May 4, 2026 and may continue throughout May depending on suitable conditions. This project has been carefully planned and will only go ahead at the right time and under the right conditions to ensure community and staff safety.
