Happy first few days of autumn, everyone.

As usual for this time of year, we have a very full Bulletin. Please see below for reminders about TRAX reporting, the K-12 literacy supports Community of Practice, as well as details about a Lunch and Learn on Classroom Enhancement Funding reporting. This week’s Bulletin also includes resources on mental health week, substance use among youth, Holocaust education, and training to use CPR and AEDs—literally, life-saving resources.

We have also included information on the new competency framework for EAs. Also, as you’ll see below, the shipment of some FSA materials has been postponed due to ongoing labour action, so please share these news items with staff who might be impacted.

I am also pleased to share information on the development of new First Nations teacher education programs – I look forward to discussing this further on our next All Superintendents’ call. Finally, with Truth and Reconciliation Day next Tuesday, I am sharing information on half-masting flags to mark the day. I’m certain your districts are recognizing the day in a good way, and I thank you for continuing to prioritize reconciliation learning for your students and broader school communities.

Have a lovely weekend,

Kaye
