Expansion of Integrated Child and Youth Teams
Earlier today, the Province announced that seven new communities, in addition to the one new community announced earlier this month, will begin implementation of Integrated Child and Youth (ICY) teams in 2024. The new teams will be based on school district boundaries serving communities in and around Central Coast, Cowichan Valley, Delta, Gold Trail, Nicola-Similkameen, Peace River South, Qualicum, and Surrey.

Graduation Assessment Schedules
The 2023/24 and 2024/25 Graduation Assessment schedules have been updated and posted on the Graduation Assessments: Information for Administrators web page. June administration windows for the Grade 10 Numeracy Assessment and Grade 10 and 12 Literacy Assessments have been extended to two weeks. The June 2024 assessment session begins Monday, June 3, and ends Friday, June 14. Questions about the schedule can be sent to assessments@gov.bc.ca.

On Friday, April 26, your district Service Management Council Representative will receive an invitation to complete the MyEducation BC 2024 Business Value Survey. Your district’s responses are important in providing information on projected MyEducation BC usage and satisfaction. Results from the survey will be used for planning purposes and continuous improvement of the MyEducation BC service. Reminder: Submit 2024/25 Child Care Capital Funding Requests Until May 15
School districts started preparing their 2024/25 and 2025/26 capital plans for child care using the expanded Capital Asset Planning System (CAPS) on April 8, 2024. A reminder that submissions for 2024/25 will be accepted until May 15, and submissions for 2025/26 will align with the capital planning cycle for K–12. For more information, refer to the Capital Plan instructions.
