Reminder to stay safe and vigilant across the Prince George Fire Centre

PRINCE GEORGE – Strong and gusty winds are expected across much of the Prince George Fire Centre today. Westerly sustained winds of 15-30km/hr gusting to 40-70 km/hr are forecasted to cross the centre following the cold front passage throughout the day. This may cause for existing wildfires to be more active and have a higher fire behaviour.

The Prince George Fire Centre would like to remind the public, recreationalist and hunters that there is currently prohibitions for Category 1, Category 2, and Category 3 in place for the entire Centre. For more information on the current prohibitions and restrictions click here.
