Knowing the hazards that are most likely to happen in your community will help guide your preparedness actions. Once you know the potential hazards, explore <a href=\"https:\/\/climatereadybc.gov.bc.ca\/#hazards\">ClimateReadyBC<\/a> to learn more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tech tip:<\/strong> Use the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/safety\/emergency-management\/preparedbc\/know-your-hazards\/hazard-map\">PreparedBC hazard map<\/a>&nbsp;to see what emergencies could happen near you!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-normal-font-size\">Make your home emergency plan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A home emergency plan outlines how you and the people you live with plan to respond during an emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tech tip: <\/strong>Don&#8217;t discount the power of pen and paper! Download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content?id=C8145643BB8D48FE8ECA30DCCDEB75DB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">fill-in-the-blanks PreparedBC Home Emergency Plan<\/a> and complete it with the people you live with. Keep copies in your emergency kit and grab-and-go bags!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-normal-font-size\">Build your emergency kit and grab-and-go bags<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you need to stay home with your emergency kit or evacuate with your grab-and-go bag, gathering emergency supplies is an important part of preparedness.
