The new structure is built around two new core service divisions that will align all policy, program and operational functions for Child Care and Education, respectively. The reorganization also integrates the strategic and operational support services that crosscut all aspects of our ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For you as our key partners it will create clear leadership accountabilities for the ministry\u2019s executive that allow us to be more effective, efficient and strategic in the way we work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this week\u2019s bulletin, you\u2019ll find information about an upcoming analytics session related to Graduation Assessment data. Police can arrest or issue tickets to anyone found impeding access, disrupting or interfering with educational activities or attempting to intimidate an individual within 20 metres (66 feet) of school property. These zones are in effect on school days from 7:00 am\u20136:00 pm and during extracurricular school activities at all of BC\u2019s K\u201312 public and independent schools, with limited exceptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/blog.gov.bc.ca\/app\/uploads\/sites\/808\/2024\/08\/AccessZones_Public.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Q&amp;A document<\/a>&nbsp;is available to support the education sector with the implementation of access zones. The CHART <a href=\"https:\/\/chartlab.ca\/about-ydi\/joining-the-youth-advisory-council\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Youth Advisory Council (YAC)<\/a>\u00a0consists of high school-aged youth (15\u201318 years) who provide their perspectives on various lab projects, including the design of the Youth Development Instrument survey. YAC members meet virtually, about eight times during the school year, and receive an honorarium for their work.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>Applications will be open until all positions are filled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please share the <a href=\"https:\/\/ubc.ca1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_cFIxRBBPfsJKPaK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">application form<\/a> with any youth who might be a good fit for the YAC.
