Please also share out invitations to register for the Learning First People Summer Institute, Feeding Futures Spring Gathering and Great BC School Food Cook-Off, as well as an invite to a webinar on creating a substance use prevention plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that there are changes to certain reporting requirements for schools with French immersion programming, as well as revised operating grants for the current school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would like to also highlight a few great, new resources that have been prepared by staff and in collaboration with other organizations. There are new, ministry-approved French translations that will help educators talk about mental health and substance use, as well as a French-language emergency preparedness program designed to align with Grade 4-8 curricula. Please share these widely within your schools and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you know, the Ombudsperson\u2019s investigation continues. At the March 6 All Superintendents Meeting, we shared our intention to provide you with the responses to the initial set of questions sent to the ministry. After consulting with the investigation team, we have been asked to not share per Section 9 of the Ombudsperson Act which provides for the maintenance of confidentiality, privacy and integrity of the investigative process. The program includes Indigenous Knowledge and uses a colourful student workbook full of games, activities, information and resources.
