In alignment with current practice, the legislation requires approval of the Minister as a condition for a board of education to expropriate private land. In addition, the amendments provide the Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique (CSF) with expropriation power over private property \u2013 a power that is\u00a0currently held by the other 59 boards of education.
