Our hearts go out to those directly impacted, their families and loved ones, and their communities, as well as to those who witnessed this horrific incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You would have received an email from Associate Deputy Minister, Jennifer McCrea, yesterday regarding this event which included <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.gov.bc.ca\/app\/uploads\/sites\/808\/2025\/04\/Family_Communication_April27.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this communication<\/a> to support your districts, which was shared with Safe School Coordinators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pursuant to <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/assets\/gov\/british-columbians-our-governments\/organizational-structure\/office-of-the-premier\/intergovernmental-relations-secretariat\/protocol\/flag\/bc-half-masting-policy.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Section 12(a) of the British Columbia policy on half-masting<\/a>, flags will be flown at half-mast from now until further notice, to mark the tragic deaths that occurred at the festival.
