{"id":53347,"date":"2025-02-21T08:20:37","date_gmt":"2025-02-21T16:20:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.gov.bc.ca\/ecc-dm-bulletin\/?post_type=article&#038;p=53347"},"modified":"2025-02-21T15:31:03","modified_gmt":"2025-02-21T23:31:03","slug":"engagement-opportunity-health-promotion-for-school-aged-children","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/blog.gov.bc.ca\/ecc-dm-bulletin\/article\/engagement-opportunity-health-promotion-for-school-aged-children\/","title":{"rendered":"Engagement Opportunity: Health Promotion for School-Aged Children"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group hide-on-main\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"taxonomy-action_or_info wp-block-post-terms\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.gov.bc.ca\/ecc-dm-bulletin\/action_or_info\/action\/\" rel=\"tag\">For Action<\/a><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"taxonomy-release_date article-release-date wp-block-post-terms\"><span class=\"wp-block-post-terms__prefix\">Published <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.gov.bc.ca\/ecc-dm-bulletin\/release_date\/2025-02-21\/\" rel=\"tag\">Friday February 21 2025<\/a><\/div>\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-post-title\">Engagement Opportunity: Health Promotion for School-Aged Children<\/h1><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Health is seeking the perspectives and experiences of education partners to support a refresh of the <a href=\"https:\/\/healthyschoolsbc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Healthy Schools BC (HSBC) initiative<\/a>, which aims to advance the health and well-being of school-aged children in B.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>District-level staff and school administrators with an understanding of school-based health promotion\/health education\/health-education partnerships are invited to register for one of the following 90-minute sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Districts are welcome to have up to three staff members attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sessions will focus on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>current health promotion needs of school-aged children and initiatives;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how the health and education sectors can collaborate in advancing the current health promotion needs of school-aged children, including roles and responsibilities; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how the HSBC initiative can support the health and education sectors in advancing health promotion for school-aged children, including system alignment and effective approaches and tools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Email <a href=\"mailto:registrations.bc@mnp.ca\">registrations.bc@mnp.ca<\/a> by Monday, March 3, 2025, to register. Please indicate which sessions(s) you have availability for.
