It also enhances early childhood educator wages and reduces fees for families. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In early January 2025, applications for the 2025\/26 intake will open through <a href=\"https:\/\/mychildcareservices.gov.bc.ca\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">My ChildCareBC Services<\/a>. To ensure providers have time to plan, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/assets\/download\/7414C69270C44E27BF96C352F2C2C41D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative funding guidelines<\/a> have been shared.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For 2025\/26, <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/family-social-supports\/caring-for-young-children\/childcarebc-programs\/child-care-fee-reduction-initiative-provider-opt-in-status\/information-for-providers#fee-increases\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fee increase limits<\/a> remain at 3% of the regional median fee. These limits support families to access affordable child care. In addition to the 3% fee increase, providers are supported through <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content?id=43B5F044292E4F10B7E63231E93E2645\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">base funding<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content?id=D1114AA07CB64D6EBAF9AFC2498E57DA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fee reductions for families<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content?id=733BCA6294F34DCAB28CD6BE73D67F92\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">provider payments<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content?id=87D4CA6A43614E4BA8BDF95366D0EF73\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The affordability benchmarks for new child care centres will remain at the regional 80<sup>th<\/sup> percentile for children under 36 months and at the 75<sup>th<\/sup> percentile for all other child care categories. Refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/assets\/download\/7414C69270C44E27BF96C352F2C2C41D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2025\/26 Funding Guidelines<\/a> for more information.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Child Care Operating Funding program contact centre is open to provide support to child care providers from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, at 1-888-338-6622 (Option 2).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For $10 a Day ChildCareBC applicants:<\/strong> Child care providers who recently applied to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content?id=F0D0FD2A00064CDDBF634CF83E4E2599\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$10 a Day ChildCareBC<\/a> program will learn more about the status of their application early in the new year.
