The ministry requires a Treasury Board decision on the request for 2024\/25&nbsp;operating funding actuals before making an announcement to school districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministry understands the importance of this announcement to the sector and is working with government colleagues to prioritize a decision for as early as possible in January. The ministry will provide an update on timing as soon as information is available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ministry staff recognize that boards are required to submit an amended annual budget within 60&nbsp;days from the date of the minister\u2019s order of the recalculated grant per section <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bclaws.gov.bc.ca\/civix\/document\/id\/complete\/statreg\/96412_09#section113:~:text=the%20school%20district.-,Adoption%20of%20budget,-113%20%C2%A0%20(1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">113&nbsp;(2)(b)<\/a> of the School Act.
