Legislature<em>. <\/em>This legislation is designed to protect students, staff, and families from disruptive and harmful protest activities at schools to preserve safe access to education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bill 22 is currently being considered in the Legislature and is not yet law. No access zones around K\u201312 schools have been activated. In the meantime, in the event of disruptive protest activity at a school, administrators can continue to rely on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bclaws.gov.bc.ca\/civix\/document\/id\/complete\/statreg\/96412_11#section177\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Section 177 of the <em>School Act<\/em><\/a> and the accompanying <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/assets\/gov\/education\/administration\/kindergarten-to-grade-12\/safe-caring-orderly\/guidelines-section-177-school-act.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Provincial Guidelines<\/a>. The provisions of the <em>Trespass Act<\/em> and the Criminal Code also still apply.
