Hello, everyone – below you will find a number of important items for this week, including updated resources for the Administration of Seizure Rescue Medications, a reminder to register for the Nominal Roll Learning Series-Joint Verification Process Webinar, and a link to updated guidance for HVAC systems.
With the death of Queen Elizabeth II yesterday, for your information routine ministry business will continue as usual. However, in the short term (during the official period of mourning), there will be a pause on all government media announcements, with the exception of those related to statutory or health and safety matters. In addition, there will be some changes that need to take place for government – there are clearly defined procedures to facilitate the transition to a new monarch. None of this should have any impact for K-12, but please reach out should you have any questions. And by way of an update to yesterday’s Special DM Bulletin, it has been decided that flags on all B.C. provincial buildings will fly at half-mast until sunset on September 19, the day of the Queen’s memorial service. Flags will be hoisted completely from sunrise until sunset on September 10, 2022, the day on which the accession of the new monarch is proclaimed. Districts are invited to follow suit.
Enjoy your weekend.
