January 2023 Graduation Assessment Registrations
Due January 6
Schools should submit registrations for the Grade 10 and Grade 12 January Graduation Assessments through a TRAX data transfer and confirm them on the Online Graduation Assessment Register that is open November 21, 2022–January 6, 2023.

Student and Family Affordability Fund Interim Reporting
Due January 30
Districts are required to complete the interim reporting interim reporting survey for the Student and Family Affordability Fund and return it to SDFR@gov.bc.ca by January 20, 2023. This survey is an interim report of estimated spending of your district’s allocation of the funding up to December 31, 2022, and an estimated budget report for the remainder of the school year. Applications for BC Excellence and Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarships
Due February 15
Applications for the BC Excellence and Pathway to Teacher Education scholarships are now available; visit the website for what’s new. Applicants must graduate and meet core eligibility and scholarship-specific requirements by August 31, 2023. Recipients are awarded a scholarship voucher of $5,000 for tuition reimbursement at a designated post-secondary institution or B.C.-authorized trades training provider (Excellence) or approved K–12 teaching program in B.C. (Pathway). Online applications are due February 15, 2023, 2:59 pm PST. Contact scholarships@gov.bc.ca with any questions.

Notification of Certificate Cancellations
In line with Section 34 of the Teachers Act, employers are being notified that teaching certificates were cancelled on November 1, 2022, because certificate holders did not pay the 2022/2023 annual practice fee by October 31, 2022. Please review the notice posted in the Employers’ Area to ensure that the certificate holders you employ remain certified.
