The Nominal Roll Joint Verification Process is a review conducted by First Nations and their local school districts. The process provides both parties an opportunity to meet and confirm that the information on the Nominal Roll is consistent with the district’s information (1701 – MyEdBC). All districts, not just those with Local Education Agreements or Nominal Roll students, must submit two contact names for the 2024/25 Nominal Roll Joint Verification Process. For each name, please also include titles, phone numbers, and email addresses. Please submit this information to the ministry via SDFR@gov.bc.ca by June 14.

Cybersecurity Incident
Last week, the Premier announced the Government of B.C. identified sophisticated cybersecurity incidents involving government networks. The investigation is ongoing, but at this time there is no evidence at this time that sensitive information has been compromised.
Please continue to abide by industry best practices. We currently have no evidence that organizations should be changing the way their systems interact with government or implementing specific security measures that impact those interactions. As always, it is important to follow cybersecurity standard protocols, industry best practices, and stay up to date on patching vulnerabilities.
If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Wray, A/ADM & Chief Information Officer, Services & Technology Division.
