Kaye Krishna
Deputy Minister of Education and Child Care

Happy Friday, and welcome back! I hope you had a wonderful break and have come back recharged and ready to take on the important work that lies ahead.

In this week’s Bulletin you will find a reminder to register for our upcoming spring partner and association meetings as well as a reminder of an important change to this year’s Student Learning Survey. Other information, including details on child care operating funding, new erase resources, and an invitation to participate in a virtual Black Excellence Day event on January 15 are also included.

In closing, I understand you received a letter from the BC Ombudsperson yesterday. Thank you to those who have flagged this, demonstrating our “no surprises” agreement in action. We will have more information on next steps soon. If you have any questions now or going forward, please reach out to Meghan McRae (Meghan.McRae@gov.bc.ca), as she will be leading on the ministry’s behalf.

Wishing you a great weekend.

Kaye
