Funding Eligibility for Work Experience 12A/B
School districts are advised that Appendix C in the current Work Experience (WEX) Program Guide contains contradictory text regarding requirements for per-course funding claims for WEX12A and WEX12B. Career educators are asked to refer to Step 1 regarding the sign-off of student training plans (i.e., before the student starts the on-site placement), and not Step 5, which requires sign-off before reporting students for per-course funding. An updated Work Experience Program Guide will be available for the 2024/25 school year. Please direct any questions to educ.skills@gov.bc.ca.
