Kaye Krishna
Deputy Minister of Education and Child Care

Happy Friday, everyone.

As the holiday season approaches it seems like we’re busier than ever here at the ministry. Undoubtedly you are too!

Today I had the pleasure of joining Minister Beare alongside so many educators and leaders at the First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) Annual Education Conference in Vancouver. In fact, I saw some of you from across the large room! It was a powerful opportunity to hear about the innovations unfolding in Indigenous education and it was also a reminder of the ongoing, shared commitment to the critical work ahead.

In this week’s DM Bulletin you will find a number of important items, including reminders to submit your interim reporting for the Feeding Futures and Student and Family Affordability Fund, as well as an invitation to provide feedback on the Student Success website. We’d really love to hear your thoughts on the site as we aim to make it more useful to you and your staff.

You will also find an invitation to register for the March Partner Liaison and Association meetings, taking place on March 6 and 7 in Richmond. Register early to guarantee yourself a room.

Among other items, this week’s Bulletin also includes details on the launch of the Early Childhood Educator Registry as well as updates on the renewal process for ChildCareBC funding programs for the 25/26 year.

Enjoy your weekend.

Kaye
