School districts may apply for additional federal funding to increase access to French Immersion programs in 2023-24. Instructions and application forms are available on the French Programs website. Applications are due by April 28, 2023.

Expansion of Dual Credit Programs in Early Childhood Education – Due May 5
Grants of $25,000, plus per course funding comparable to current rates, are available to help school districts administer early childhood education dual credit programs with post-secondary partners in the 2024 and 2025 calendar years. Districts are invited to review and submit an expression of interest questionnaire by May 5 to be considered as a potential project site. Email dualcredit@gov.bc.ca with questions or to register for an information session on Thursday, April 20 at 3:30 pm PT.

Drop-In Sessions for BCTEA Transportation Planning and Reporting
The First Nations Education Steering Committee, the Ministry of Education and Child Care, and Indigenous Services Canada invite you to register for one of two drop in sessions being held on April 12, 2023 or May 17, 2023 regarding Transportation planning and Reporting. These sessions are intended to answer any questions you may have during the development of the 2023/24 Joint Transportation Plan or completion of the 2022/23 Financial Report – due May 24, 2023.
