The Provincial Teacher Mentorship Program is a key component of B.C.’s K-12 Workforce Plan. It is designed to support teachers through accessible, inclusive, and research-informed mentorship. Developed in partnership between UBC’s Faculty of Education and the Ministry of Education and Child Care, with input from K-12 sector partners, this program is focused on promoting teacher retention with tailored pathways for First Nation teachers as well as francophone and French immersion teachers. The program website is now live and mentorship activities are beginning in each of the 5 pilot school districts that are part of the pilot phase.
Resources developed through this initiative will be made available online for educators throughout the province and new resources will continue to be released as they are finalized. We encourage you to explore the website, share it with K–12 colleagues, and revisit regularly for ongoing updates.
