The Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (PSSG) is hosting a virtual presentation on internet child exploitation on Wednesday, October 30, 10:30 am–12:00 pm PDT. This event is part of the erase Organized Crime and Exploitation Information Series and Community of Practice and marks the eighth presentation in the series.
The speaker for this presentation is Corporal Adelle Brown, a senior investigator with the BC RCMP Integrated Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit. Cpl. Brown started her career with the RCMP in 2005, working in general duty in Burnaby. After spending time in the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Unit, Cpl. Brown joined the ICE Unit in 2014. In her current role, she oversees the B.C. ICE Victim Identification Unit and conducts proactive online covert investigations. Cpl. Brown has also developed and led a course on child interviewing techniques for law enforcement officers in Brazil and has contributed to training on online covert investigations in Canada.
