As discussed in the Tuesday, July 2 call with Superintendents, Secretary Treasurers and District Leads of Indigenous Education, the ministry has co-developed with the First Nations Education Steering Committee, new Question and Answer documents, to support Local Education Agreements, First Nations School of Choice, and Indigenous Education Councils (IECs). These documents will be updated as new questions and additional information become available. The ministry anticipates releasing the IEC policy before the British Columbia School Superintendents Association (BCSSA) Summer Leadership Gathering on August 16. The ministry will also have additional IEC conversations with the sector throughout the year. In the interim, the following Q&A documents are now available:
