To mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, the Canadian flag at the British Columbia Legislature in Victoria and on all B.C. government buildings and establishments throughout the province will be flown at half mast on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from sunrise until sunset. Whereas December 6 is on a weekend, if there are no maintenance staff working that day it is acceptable to lower flags to half-mast at the end of the day on Friday and return them to full mast on Monday morning.
The direction of the Province on half-masting protocols is provided in case school districts wish to follow a similar approach.
