Expansion of PreVenture Program in BC Schools

Foundry Central Office is expanding their implementation support for the PreVenture program. PreVenture uses brief, personality-focused workshops to promote mental health and delay and/or reduce substance use among youth. The program aims to equip youth in Grades 7–9 with self-efficacy and cognitive behavioural skills to help them navigate common challenges such as stress, peer pressure, interpersonal conflict and identity development. Both Foundry and the Interior Health Authority provide schools with comprehensive support—including training for school staff, access to ongoing coaching and implementation resources—and covers all program participation costs.

Schools across B.C. have been successfully implementing PreVenture with the support of Foundry for three years. Any school district or school interested in implementing PreVenture this year may connect with the Foundry team directly. Learn more by visiting Foundry’s website to register for an upcoming information session or email Foundry directly at prevention@foundrybc.ca.
