Brise-Danger French-Language Emergency Preparedness Program Available for Grades 4–8

Teachers delivering French-language education to students in Grades 4–8 have a new free resource. Brise-danger, the French-language version of the popular Master of Disaster emergency preparedness program, is now available to order ahead of Emergency Preparedness Week (May 4–9).

Brise-danger is aligned with the BC curriculum and requires minimal preparation. The program includes Indigenous Knowledge and uses a colourful student workbook full of games, activities, information and resources. Materials and shipping are free.

The program is organized into three lessons that coincide with the emergency preparedness steps:

  • Know your hazards
  • Gather your supplies
  • Make a plan
