Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), in collaboration with the First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) and the Ministry of Education and Child Care, invites you to attend a webinar on the Joint Verification Process (JVP). This is a reminder that registration is now open.
The JVP was introduced in the 2019-2020 school year, as part of the implementation of the British Columbia Tripartite Education Agreement: Supporting First Nation Student Success (BCTEA). The JVP is an important process between First Nations and school districts that helps ensure Nominal Roll students are appropriately entered and accounted for and that funding is calculated accurately. Having a joint conversation supports mutual accountability and sets the stage for future conversations around student needs.
The upcoming JVP webinar will provide First Nations and school districts an opportunity to hear about information that can impact the JVP and ensure that both First Nations and school districts have the same understanding of roles and responsibilities.

No specific material will be covered, but it is an opportunity for First Nations and school districts to seek clarification as needed.
