Of these wildfires, 48% are classified as Being Held or Under Control, and 73% are less than four hectares in size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There have been about 350 new wildfire starts over the past week, the majority of which have been attributed to lightning activity. Fire crews have been very successful in restricting growth or extinguishing most of these new starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Weather forecast<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wildfire conditions are trending downwards, with improved overnight humidity across most of the province. After tomorrow, temperatures are expected to decrease. Scattered showers are expected this weekend with the possibility of lightning over the southeast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The River Valley prescribed fire was a burn implemented by Lil\u2019wat Nation with support from the BC Wildfire Service, Pemberton Fire Rescue and Pemberton Meadows Fire.
