The size of the area restriction reflects the continued need to protect the public in areas where there are ongoing fire suppression activities and hazardous fire behaviour conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This Order takes effect at 9 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time on Friday, June 06, 2025, and remains in force until the earlier of Oct. 15, 2025, or until the Order is rescinded.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This Order applies to Crown land within the geographic boundaries described below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corner 1) 56\u00b0 33.418&#8217;N, 120\u00b0 0.003&#8217;W<br>Corner 2) 56\u00b0 27.488&#8217;N, 120\u00b0 0.014&#8217;W<br>Corner 3) 56\u00b0 27.422&#8217;N, 120\u00b0 19.097&#8217;W<br>Corner 4) 56\u00b0 33.393&#8217;N, 120\u00b0 19.124&#8217;W<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A map of the area restriction is available below and <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/assets\/gov\/public-safety-and-emergency-services\/wildfire-status\/fire-bans-and-restrictions\/prince-george-maps\/25_g80497_arearestriction_public_85x11p_jun_06_1.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div data-wp-interactive=\"core\/file\" class=\"wp-block-file\"><object data-wp-bind--hidden=\"!state.hasPdfPreview\" hidden class=\"wp-block-file__embed\" data=\"https:\/\/blog.gov.bc.ca\/app\/uploads\/sites\/786\/2025\/06\/25_g80497_arearestriction_public_85x11p_jun_06_1.pdf\" type=\"application\/pdf\" style=\"width:100%;height:600px\" aria-label=\"Embed of 25_g80497_arearestriction_public_85x11p_jun_06_1.\"><\/object><a id=\"wp-block-file--media-256224b1-4e47-4786-875c-aeade818119b\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.gov.bc.ca\/app\/uploads\/sites\/786\/2025\/06\/25_g80497_arearestriction_public_85x11p_jun_06_1.pdf\">25_g80497_arearestriction_public_85x11p_jun_06_1<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.gov.bc.ca\/app\/uploads\/sites\/786\/2025\/06\/25_g80497_arearestriction_public_85x11p_jun_06_1.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button wp-element-button\" download aria-describedby=\"wp-block-file--media-256224b1-4e47-4786-875c-aeade818119b\">Download<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Under this Order and section 11 (2) of the Wildfire Act<\/strong>, a person must not remain in or enter the restricted area without the prior written authorization of an official designated for the purposes of the Wildfire Act, unless the person:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Enters the area only in the course of:<\/strong><br>(a) Travelling to or from his or her residence;<br>(b) Using a highway as defined in the Transportation Act;<br>(c) Entering the area as a person acting in an official capacity;<br>(d) Entering the area for an approved purpose of supporting wildfire suppression activities;<br>(e) Entering the area for the purposes of carrying out an industrial activity at a regulated oil and gas site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Failure to comply with Section 11 restricted area requirements may result in a <strong>violation ticket for $1,150.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Be safe this summer and always report smoke, wildfire and unattended campfires<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The public is one of our greatest resources when it comes to reporting wildfires. Approximately 40% of wildfires are reported by members of the public. There are a number of ways to report:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Call 1-800-663-5555 toll-free<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Call *5555 from a cell phone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit directly through the BC Wildfire Service mobile app<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Make a plan before you go, and check for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a
