- Smoke and flames will be visible<\/strong> from Williams Lake and surrounding communities, as well as to motorists travelling along Highway 20, Dog Creek Road and Bond Lake Road<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Crews will ignite forest fuels to remove combustible materials<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Ignitions will only proceed with favourable weather and atmospheric venting allowing smoke to clear quickly<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- While ignition is underway, signage will be present along Highway 20<\/strong> to inform drivers and ensure the safety of the public and firefighters<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Personnel will remain on site until there is no risk of the fire spreading beyond the burn area and return on additional days for mop-up operations to ensure the fire is out<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Smoke from within the perimeter of the burn may be highly visible for up to 24 hours after ignition, and some minimal smoke may be visible up to seven days after ignitions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
