Crew History
The Lytton Rattlers are located in Canada’s hot spot, Lytton which is tucked in between two mighty rivers, the Fraser and the Thompson.
The Rattlers were formed in 2007 making it the first type 1 crew in Lytton. In their inaugural year, the Lytton Rattlers were an all-Indigenous crew.
The crew patch is a symbol of the Stein Owl, a sacred symbol that the Nlaka’pamux peoples used for thousands of years. The Rattlers got special permission from the elders of Lytton to put the Stein Owl logo on their chests as it symbolizes the crew being protectors of Lytton.
Lytton is home to the mouth of the Stein Valley, a very popular trading route used for thousands of years, the two tribes the St’at’imc peoples and the Nlaka’pamux peoples used the Stein Valley for trading.
