KAMLOOPS – Due to the high volume of documentary requests, the BC Wildfire Service has implemented an intake process to better streamline and assess documentary proposals. Applications for the 2023 wildfire season are currently being accepted now until April 15, 2023. 

Documentary filmmakers are valuable partners for the BC Wildfire Service. The hope for this intake process is to organize safe access, timely execution and successful production for filmmakers in advance of a wildfire season. 

To apply, please submit your application form to bcws.video@gov.bc.ca prior to the April 15, 2023, deadline. Submissions outside of the application window will not be considered until the next round of applications opens. Applications will be reviewed by an internal panel to assess feasibility, and applicants can expect to hear back on the status of their application on or before May 12, 2023.
